The Jackhammer is a post-credits drop — a new toy for your Chapter Select and New Game Plus runs.
Overview
You don't find the Jackhammer in the world; the game hands it over automatically once you've finished the main story. That makes it primarily a New Game Plus and Lunatic Difficulty tool, sitting in the Attack slot of any cleanup or challenge-run loadout.

How it Works
- Fire mode — Heavy impact shots.
- Range — Mid. Not a sniper, but reaches further than the Shockwave Blaster.
- OPEN interaction — Stagger-heavy; good at buying you OPEN windows on big targets rather than just punishing them.
Strengths
- Arrives fully-formed — no unlock puzzle, no side detour
- Pairs with your maxed-out upgrade stockpile from the first run
- Changes the feel of replay loadouts away from the Shockwave Blaster default
Weaknesses
- Doesn't exist for your first playthrough's late-game
- Lower fire-rate profile than the weapons you already leveled
- Competes with other endgame rewards for the same slot
When to use / pair with
- Best in: New Game Plus, Chapter Select mop-up, trophy / platinum route runs.
- Pair with: Pulse Carbine as the primary, and a tactical weapon like Hacking Mines that works with the Jackhammer's stagger windows.
Upgrade Notes
Because it drops post-credits, you'll often have a stack of Upgrade Components ready. Put them straight into damage — you already know what the run looks like.
