Hacking Mines turn the floor into a trap — a passive way to lock down rooms and open enemies on their way to you.
Overview
You unlock Hacking Mines at the Shelter after clearing Sector 5 (the moment Hugh heals Diana). Back at the Shelter, a new Cabin Stamp Club board is waiting; complete the three-in-a-row and the Mines are yours.

How it Works
- Fire mode — Throw / deploy a mine; triggers an auto-hack when an enemy steps in.
- Range — Area denial; you place these, you don't aim them at anything specific.
- OPEN interaction — Triggering a mine fires an auto-hack — enemies get opened without you having to grid-hack manually.
Strengths
- Frees up your attention during crowded fights — place and forget
- Genuinely changes how you approach ambush rooms
- Pairs beautifully with high-DPS Attack weapons that want a static target
Weaknesses
- Requires pre-placement; bad against fights that already started
- Wastes ammo in empty rooms
- Less useful on bosses that don't walk into them
When to use / pair with
- Best in: ambush corridors, mining shafts, red-zone escape routes, and any room you have time to prep before the fight starts.
- Pair with: Photon Laser or Charge Piercer to punish the OPEN window the mine gave you.
Upgrade Notes
Deploy count first, then trigger damage. The value of a mine is in "can I place one per encounter?" — more mines beats bigger mines.
