Training Data chips unlock new drills at the Training Missions console back at Shelter. Each chip you turn in adds one combat scenario — a boss rematch, a hack-chain gauntlet, or a timed wave fight. They're rare, direct, and they're how you practice the harder combat verbs without risking a main-story death.
What They Are
A small data module with a green training-mission icon. Pick one up in the field and a new drill appears at the Training Missions terminal back at Shelter. The drills are optional, but a few drop rewards you can't get any other way:
- Extra Mods for your loadout
- Cabin Coins you can't farm otherwise
- Scored challenges that feed the Top Performer trophy route
Training Data only starts appearing from Sector 3 onwards — Sectors 1 and 2 don't hold any.

- Terra Dome Entrance — one chip in the upper greenhouse after the first hack gate
- Soil Research Center — one chip, inside the balcony room past the invisible enemy fight
Sector 4 · Lunum Mines

- Warehouse — one chip in the loft above the box-stacking hack puzzle
- Tower Access Point — one chip on the climb to the boss arena
Sector 6 · Central Port

- Research Sector — one chip near the save room past the second elevator
- Lunafilament Lab — one chip behind a Cleanse gate in the filament-cleaning corridors
Tips
- Run the drills the moment you unlock them. Training Missions reward Mods and Cabin Coins directly — and they cap your hack-chain timing, which carries straight into real combat.
- Some chips are Cleanse-gated. The last Lunafilament Lab chip won't be reachable until you unlock Cleanse in Sector 5 — come back on a cleanup run.
- Missions scale with your loadout. Equip your strongest Firmware Updater setup before attempting the later Training Missions; they're scored, and a weak build will cap your grade at B.
