Mods

Every Mod location in Pragmata — the slot-in perks that change your weapon and hack behavior.

Mods are the real customization layer in Pragmata. Each one slots into your Loadout and changes how a weapon or a hack behaves — wider OPEN window, chained hack damage, slower charge but bigger payoff, auto-reload on finisher. There are around 21 unique Mods hidden across the Cradle.

What They Are

A Mod is a small chip with a colored core. You equip Mods at the Loadout terminal in Shelter, dropping them into slots on your weapons or your hack stack. A handful are build-defining:

  • Hack window extenders — more time to solve the grid
  • Chain Mods — a successful hack damages nearby enemies
  • Overdrive Mods — trade speed for raw damage on Overdrive Protocol
  • Ammo / reload Mods — small quality-of-life changes that add up in long fights

You also print Mods at the Unit Printer using Pure Lunum, but the ones you find in the world are unique — they can't be duplicated.

Tips

  • Read before you slot. Some Mods have nasty trade-offs — a damage Mod may cut your hack window, which is a bad trade in the late game.
  • Build around hack chains first. The hack grid is Pragmata's combat engine; Mods that extend the hack window or chain effects scale with every enemy type.
  • Training Missions reward extra Mods. Pick up every Training Data chip and run the drills — a few of the best Mods drop from S-rank grades only.
  • Printed Mods are bulk, found Mods are special. When in doubt, prioritize picking up world Mods over printing; the unique ones can't be re-obtained.
