Code Generator

The Code Generator is a meta-tactical pickup — it doesn't shoot things, it shoots code into Diana's hack grid so you have more tools during combos.

Overview

Unlock-wise, the Code Generator is a Cabin Stamp Club reward. After you clear Sector 3 · Terra Dome, head back to the Shelter and finish the new three-in-a-row stamp board Cabin gives you; the Code Generator drops out as the payoff.

How it Works

Fire mode — Deploys/generates hack code segments for Diana mid-combat.
Range — Operates on the hack grid rather than the arena.
OPEN interaction — Extends the value of every OPEN window by giving Diana more usable code paths.

Strengths

The single best loadout swap for players leaning hard into grid hacking
Lets you take risky or exotic hack routes you'd normally avoid
Synergizes with every Attack weapon in the game via extended OPEN windows

Weaknesses

Zero direct combat damage
Requires you to understand the grid hack mini-game; new players may feel it's wasted
Competes for a tactical slot against more lethal options

When to use / pair with

Best in: hack-heavy builds, boss fights where extending OPEN matters more than burst damage, and any trophy / platinum route targeting clean hack completions.
Pair with: Photon Laser (long OPEN windows love a beam), or Hacking Mines for a double-hack loadout.

Upgrade Notes

Upgrade this last among your tactical tools — its baseline effect is already strong; other weapons return more damage per Upgrade Component.
