The Shockwave Blaster is the Attack slot's answer to Shielded Bots. Get in close, dump a shell, watch the shield shatter and the OPEN State bloom.
Overview
You find the Shockwave Blaster on the ground in Sector 1 · Solar Power Plant — 02 Power Distribution Center. After the laser puzzle at the first Escape Hatch, drop down beside it and pick it up on the floor. It's almost always the first Attack-slot weapon in a player's loadout, and it stays good through the entire game.

How it Works
- Fire mode — Single-shot shockwave burst.
- Range — Short. Think "one corridor length."
- OPEN interaction — Excellent for cracking shielded enemies and priming weak points for your Primary.

Strengths
- Strong anti-shield presence; pops the Shielded Bots the Grip Gun can't touch head-on
- Solid panic tool when an enemy gets in your face during a hack chain
- Available early, so you can commit upgrades and see a return for most of the run
Weaknesses
- Range falls off fast; useless against bots that sit at distance
- Limited ammo — you can't burst every encounter
- Doesn't do much on its own against armored, non-shielded targets
When to use / pair with
- Best in: tight interiors, shelter courtyards, and any room with Shielded Bots as the "gate" enemy.
- Pair with: Stasis Net to freeze the target first, then close in; or Pulse Carbine to punish the weak point once the shield drops.
Upgrade Notes
Prioritize ammo capacity and reload mods — the Shockwave Blaster wants to be usable in back-to-back engagements, not saved for bosses.
